Who We Are

Catalina Riding Club is owned and managed by Rose and Robert English.

Rose was born and raised in Tucson. She was a barrel racer and turn-back rider for Tom Lyons cutting horse ranch in Texas. Rose taught riding lessons and guided trail rides for Lazy K Bar Guest Ranch in Tucson. She was a Certified Horsemanship Association instructor for both English and western riding, with an emphasis on safety. Studying under several Natural horsemanship trainers over the years, she learned to communicate well with animals and has an ability to teach her students and horses to be bold and confident. Rose has dedicated her life to the education and development of her horses and students.

Robert is Rose’s biggest support system. He is the main caregiver of the horses, as well as maintenance manager, lead mechanic and grounds keeper of Catalina Riding Club stables, keeping our machinery and corrals functional. If you see Bob around, thank him for all he does behind the scenes. We have owned and operated RockinbRiding club in Anchorage Alaska for the last 15 years and are excited to build a community down here.
