LUNA BONITA is a 15 year old 15.1h black and white paint mare. Luna is from Sonora Mexico, and was used as a Mexican rodeo horse. She is an excellent beginner’s and kid’s mount. She enjoys trail rides, drill team and arena work..
TAWNY ROSE is a 10 yr old 15h buckskin quarter horse mare. Purchased in Florence Arizona, she competed with her former owner in High School Rodeo. She is well trained and very versatile as a school horse.
CALICO DUN (CALLIE) is a 12 year old 14.2h dun paint mare. She has a solid foundation in western disciplines and is very well behaved even with the youngest riders. Callie was bred to a Friesian Stallion, ICON, and foaled a solid dun stud colt May 2, 2023. We named him Iconically Dun.
ZIPS DARK LACE (LACEY) is a 15h, 24 year old, grey American Quarter horse mare. In her younger years, Lacey had many talents including winning in barrel racing, jumping, pole bending, and dressage. She performed at rodeos in drill team, trick riding, and roman riding. She has the smoothest gaits of all of our horses, and is still going strong though slower than she used to be. She works well with all level of riders.
COPPER is a 15.2h, 24 year old chestnut Morgan gelding. He is very energetic for his age and loves western games, drill team, jumping and trail rides. Copper is a very versatile horse and has been used for hunting, packing, and a variety of english and western disciplines. He is a favorite for intermediate and advanced riders because of his spirit and willing to please attitude.
BARBIE is a 16h, 23 year old solid golden palomino American Paint Horse mare. She is a former barrel racing horse and is very sensitive and spirited. Barbie is best for Intermediate and advanced riders. She loves guarding over Iconic (our weanling colt), bossing around the rest of the herd and galloping river-bed trail rides.
BRANDY is a 8 year old 15.2h red dun quarter horse mare. She is a pleasure to ride, but requires the skillful hands and seat of an experienced rider. Brandy is from Snowflake Arizona, and was used as a brood mare for several years. She is a power house of a mare, and we look forward to raising a few foals of our own with her.
MISTY is a 23 year old Chincoteague/QH pony mare. She is a palomino pinto with one blue and one brown eye. Misty is gentle, well behaved, and fun to ride. She is very athletic and trained in western gaming, jumping, drill team and trick riding. Standing at 13.2h, she is a favorite with the younger students.
PEARL is a 14 yr old 14h grey Spanish gaited mare from Phoenix Arizona. She has a very smooth pace, trot and 4 beat canter, and is a wonderful trail horse for smaller adults and older youth.
ICONICALLY DUN (NICKY) is the newest member of the Catalina Riding Club herd! He is a 7 month old Dun color half Friesian, born 5/2/23. His sire is named ICON, and his dam is our beautiful paint mare, Calico Dun (Callie). He is a really sweet, well behaved guy, and if someone is in the proximity of the round corral, he’s sure to be all up in their business!
SASSY is a 3 yr old 10.2h bay pinto Shetland pony. Purchased with Luna, she is also from Sonora Mexico. While still in training, she is living up to her name! Sassy is a step-up challenge for the light weight intermediate and advanced students.
