The Horses of Catalina Riding Club

LUNA BONITA is a 15h black and white paint mare. Luna is from Sonora Mexico, and was used as a Mexican rodeo horse. She is an excellent beginner’s and kid’s mount. She enjoys trail rides, drill team and arena work..


TAWNY ROSE is a 14.2h buckskin quarter horse mare. Purchased in Florence Arizona, she competed with her former owner in High School Rodeo. She is well trained and very versatile as a school horse.


ZIPS DARK LACE (LACEY) is a 15h, grey American Quarter horse mare. In her younger years, Lacey had many talents including winning in barrel racing, jumping, pole bending, and dressage. She performed at rodeos in drill team, trick riding, and roman riding. She has the smoothest gaits of all of our horses, and is still going strong though slower than she used to be. She works well with all level of riders.


COPPER is a 15.2h, chestnut Morgan gelding. He is very energetic for his age and loves western games, drill team, jumping and trail rides. Copper is a very versatile horse and has been used for hunting, packing, and a variety of english and western disciplines.  He is a favorite for intermediate and advanced riders because of his spirit and willing to please attitude.


BARBIE is a 15.3h, solid golden palomino American Paint Horse mare. She is a former barrel racing horse and is very sensitive and spirited. Barbie is best for Intermediate and advanced riders. She loves guarding over & bossing around the rest of the herd and galloping river-bed trail rides.

BABE AND BELLE Our Belgian Draft horse team, are surefooted in the foothills and easygoing with beginner riders. They not only ride the trails with our heavier riders, they pull a 14 passenger 1800’s style wagonette at events and parades.

DOMINO is a well trained registered American Paint horse. She is one of the bigger mounts, at 15.3 hands. Domino is a trustworthy beginner husband horse.

BONNIE AND CLYDE are percheron Canadian Cross half draft mare and gelding team from Alaska. They spent 20 years in a mountain lodge at trail and pack horses. Both are calm and well behaved, though Bonnie is the more energetic of the two.


ICONICALLY DUN (NICKY) is the newest member of the Catalina Riding Club herd! He is a 20 month old Dun color half Friesian, born 5/2/23. His sire is named ICON, and his dam is our beautiful paint mare, Calico Dun (Callie). He is a really sweet, well behaved guy, and if someone is in the proximity of the round corral, he’s sure to be all up in their business!
